Science for a better life


March 2015. The project was an initiative elaborated and promoted by Bayer in collaboration with the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan, the National Museum of Science and Technology L. Da Vinci in Milan and some high schools.

Just a few weeks before the opening of Expo 2015, and given the successful past editions, Bayer wanted to encourage the presence and involvement of young people by making a few changes to the format.

The idea was to create a digital platform, targeting millennials, that spoke about the future, progress and science, explaining how scientific research and innovation are fundamental to improving the quality of our lives.

Three events exploring different aspects of the topic “science and the future”, with the aim of engaging young people between the age of 18 and 30 through an ad hoc digital communication strategy.

Food and Psychology, Genetics and Research, Employment today and tomorrow: those were the project key conferences that Bayer organized in collaboration with the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and the National Museum of Science and Technology L. Da Vinci of Milan. Three experts were there to conduct the debate and answer the questions of the students and of the public: Laura Bellodi, Head of the School of Psychology and Director of the Center for Alimentary Disorders and Center for Anxiety at the Hospital S. Raffaele; Giorgio Casari, Professor at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University – San Raffaele Hospital IRCCS’ Center for Genealogy, Bioinformatics and Biostatistics; Diego Fusaro, philosopher and essayist, researcher at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.

A group of influencers sharing the same interests, the hashtag #apollo15 to project young people towards the future, live streaming events, sharing on the most popular social networks (Facebook and Twitter), textual contents and videos designed for the website and for the YouTube channel.
